“What changed your mind?” Oliver asked.

“Cole, really. Man, that guy is something else. He really has a way of cutting through all your bullshit, you know?” Wyatt shook his head in apparent amazement.

“I know exactly what you mean.” He slid his hand across the table. Wyatt snatched it up before it even made it halfway. “Where did you ever find him? He’s such a great guy. I mean, I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have spilled my guts to him, but he’s so easy to talk to. It just sort of happened.”

“No need to explain that to me, mister,” Wyatt said with a chuckle. “I’m the same way around him. He’s just there. No judgment, just listening.”

“I really like him a lot.” Oliver was picturing Cole’s wicked grin and pitch-black eyes. Not to mention his pale skin and that perfect amount of stubble dusting his jaw and neck.
