Chapter 26

Their morning continued in amiable routine, and when Wyatt came home midday to pick up Cole, it was a surprise to both of them that time had passed so quickly. Oliver tried to keep himself busy for the rest of the day, but he was restless. He felt like he wanted to climb the walls or pull his skin off. He could not get Wyatt or Cole out of his mind. He could not wait until they could all be together again.

When they finally returned, Oliver was waiting for them at the door. They settled in and discussed the day. After dinner, they all three sat on the couch and began watching a movie. They all laughed and heckled the screen. The feeling of being alive and present and surrounded by such great conversation and companionship was intoxicating to Oliver and he hated it when Wyatt insisted it was late and time for bed.
