Tristan had trust issues, but why? He rarely discussed his childhood or his parents.


Rain decided he wouldn’t push Tristan to discuss his past. He leaned on his hand to look down at Tristan’s face. “I think we have what it takes to make it in this crazy world. Don’t you think?”


Tristan’s eyes glistened with emotion. “But what if you change your mind? What if somewhere down the line, you realize that you aren’t ready for another serious relationship and then you leave me?”


“What if I don’t?” Rain kissed Tristan’s eyebrow and pressed his hand against Tristan’s heart. “Hey…how about we love each other so good and right, that changing our minds becomes almost impossible?”


Tristan’s expression told Rain he was still struggling with his doubts.
