“Dinner Tuesday?” Mike asked, stepping away.

Sage nodded, trying to quell his racing emotions. “Yes.”

“Good. I’ll pick you up at the usual time.” With that said, Mike left, striding across the courtyard to his townhouse.

“It’s about time,” Jon said, appearing beside Sage.

Sage rolled his eyes. “Will you quit eavesdropping, or whatever you want to call it.”

“Eavesdropping works,” Brody said, joining them. “I’ve been trying to convince him your love life is none of his business. He won’t listen.”

Jon grinned. “It does keep me occupied and out of your hair.”

“Uh-huh.”

Sage shook his head. “You two are something else.”
