“Watch who you accuse in the future,” he said.
“Watch who you push around,” said Dom. Kiko liked the light in his eyes.
“Or what?”
Dom grinned. Kiko had to break away before he got hard. 19
They sold out long before the Heartstival was over. Dom sold the last three eggs to a customer while Kiko offered half a cup of eggnog, all that was left. It looked more like three-quarters of a cup to Dom when Kiko passed it over, but he didn’t say anything.
“I’m really regretting not making more this morning,” said Kiko, pulling away the price signs but leaving up the Yolks on You egg. “We had enough eggs.”
Dom laughed.
“It’s fine. Now we don’t have to eat the leftovers for a week.” He paused, dug around in his pockets. “Want to wander around? I bought raffle tickets.”
Kiko cast a concerned glance back at the remaining paintings. They’d eventually managed to order them alphabetically, but still only about half had been claimed.
