Chapter 33

“So the guy who did this to you is in jail?”

“Hell yeah! Fuckin’ Biff Tremonte. Homophobic jerk-off.” Kenny opened one of the bottles of pills on the table to take his medication.

“Good riddance to him, I say.”

“Amen to that,” he replied. Taking a sip of water, he asked. “So, you and Damien gonna get together now?”

I choked on my water. “Did he say something to you?” I asked after I stopped coughing.

“No. But I saw the wet spot on his pants and the huge grin on his face when he came back from your place the other day. He has it bad, man. He talks about you all the time, too. Used to mention his cranky landlord a lot when I would courier stuff to him at the gym.”

“Ah, geez.” I covered my face and shook my head.

“My two cents? Give in. He’s not gonna let it go ‘til he has what he wants. He’s stubborn like that.”

“Don’t I know it.”

“Go with the flow.”

“All right, all right. Enough already,” I groused. I got up to leave.
