Chapter 10

Hunter whistled. “Wow, this is great. You and Matty did this?”

As Van watched Hunter look around the lobby, he saw the awe on the man’s face. He and Matty did great work, but seeing a virtual stranger appreciate it made Van’s chest puff up. He was proud of what they had accomplished.

“Our place is upstairs,” he said, motioning to the stairs.

“This place is huge. Why didn’t you guys make two separate places and live by yourselves?” Hunter asked almost innocently.

“Actually, we were thinking it might be time to do that, but at the time, with us both being single, it was better than living alone. Matty rarely brings chicks home. He usually goes to their place. You know, so they don’t know where to find him after.”

Both of them busted out laughing.

“This place is awesome, man, very unique.”
