“We both do,” Kirk stated before asking where Tony had parked. It turned out they were in the same lot, so he took Tony’s hand as they walked to it. When they got to Tony’s car, Kirk’s gaze went to Tony’s lips for a long moment before he shook his head. “I’ll see you at the club before next Saturday?”
Tony nodded as he said, “You can, if you want.”
“See you at the club?”
“No. Kiss me.”
Kirk smiled slowly, his expression reflecting off the lens of Tony’s glasses, which momentarily threw him. He lifted them off, chuckling at the look of surprise on Tony’s face, and kissed him. It was brief—a soft touch of their lips before Kirk pulled away.
Then Tony wrapped his arms around Kirk’s neck, murmuring, “Is that the best you can do?”
Kirk kissed him again, savoring the warmth of his lips, the slight taste of coffee on them, the faint aroma of whatever aftershave he used. “Better?” he asked when they separated.
“Much.” Tony smiled. “A preview of coming attractions.”
