I turned and ran to the pipe. I gave it a tug and a shake. It appeared sturdy. Phew. So, up I went, my hands gripping the steel as my cape blew in the breeze. Two minutes later, I was standing on the roof, shooting my boyfriend a thumbs-up. I quickly looked around and spotted the ventilator shaft. There was a metal grate over it, held on by screws.

“Um, Houston,” I groaned, “we have a problem.”

“Say the words cam, then share,” he replied.

I squinted my eyes in confusion. “Why, exactly?”

“Just say it.”

I shrugged. “Okay,” I said. “Cam. Share.”

I could hear a small clickfrom inside my mask. Clearly, Craig could now see my dilemma. God, he was smart. Braindidn’t do him justice. Then again, Super Computer didn’t roll off the tongue nearly as easily. “No problem,” he quickly said. “The screws aren’t too big.”

My squint resquinted. “For?”

“Say the word magnet, then lean your face in toward one of the screws.”

Again, I shrugged. “Magnet,” I said, then leaned in.
