Great.

Nick took a deep breath and went after Ray. The other man stood by a side table in the dining room where he’d picked up the coffee carafe and was pouring another cup.

“Ray, can we talk?”

Ray looked at him, his dark eyes unreadable behind his glasses, and shrugged. “Sure.”

Nick sat down where he had consumed his breakfast, and Ray sat across from him. “Look, I’m not really good at talking about things and I can see you probably aren’t either. Probably comes from being guys.”

Ray acknowledged that with a small nod.

“And I hate to sound like a woman or whatever, so I’m not going to ask where this is going.” Nick laughed and was happy to see Ray smile. “But, are we, you know, you consider us exclusive, right?”

“Yes, I guess I do think of us as exclusive. I certainly haven’t seen anyone else since I asked you out. I told you I turned down Devon’s man. What about you?”

“I haven’t seen anyone else either. The truth is, Ray, I’ve never really done the relationship thing.”
