Chapter 19

When Lucien heard someone call “hello” a third time, he pulled himself free of Abel’s cock. Fearful the men from the ship might turn around and leave them there, he scrambled to his feet and ran towards the sea, the evidence of their lovemaking trailing down his belly and legs.

“Hello,” he called, waving his arms unashamedly. “Hello! We’re here! Over here!”

Since he was at the water’s edge anyway, he washed himself before running up the beach to where Abel was dressing.

“I can’t believe it,” he said. “Even though I know it’s real, it feels like a dream.”

Abel smiled, though it was a smile that didn’t reach his eyes. It wasn’t a real smile, and Lucien well knew why.

He took Abel’s hand and looked him in the eye. “We’ll never part. No matter what happens, we’ll never part. I promise you.”

They walked hand in hand to the water’s edge, an almost overwhelming sense of excitement swelling in the pit of Lucien’s stomach.
