“I can tell you one thing,” said Abel. “At the first opportunity, I want to make love to you. I don’t care what we have to do, but I want you more than I want my next meal.”

Lucien laughed and felt better…momentarily.

Two days later, mid-morning, an almighty shout came from the crow’s nest.

“Land ahoy!”

Lucien, already on deck and doing nothing in particular, ran to the bulwark. He could just make out a thick dark line on the horizon, which he assumed was the east-coast of Australia.
