Chapter 11

They shared their goodbyes, ending the call. Following their conversation, Tate looked down at his phone and shook his head. Feeling doubt, convinced he was setting himself up for a bad time with Paul Persimmon, and possible rejection, he said, “I’m probably doing the wrong thing. Something tells me I just made a hugemistake.”

Tate realized it was a little too late to go back and change history. What’s done is done, as the old saying went. He wouldn’t manipulate the situation to change it up. Nor would he cancel the date with the bookseller.

Who knows, he thought, I might just have a good time.
