So as Alison Dawson went into detail about the things her husband wanted to do with her in the bedroom, and a few other places as well, but which she flatly refused to accommodate, Vincent decided it was better if Daniel didn’t contact him. In fact, even if Daniel did contact him again, which was looking less and less likely, he’d say “no” to meeting with him.
It came as somewhat of a surprise when he arrived home that evening and received a text message from Daniel.
Daniel:Here’s my number. Call me and we’ll go out for some Chinese.
It was no surprise, however, that despite his self-talk in the office during Alison Dawson’s session, he responded.
Vincent:When?
Daniel: Call me.
He dialled. “Daniel?”
“Hi, Vincent. How have you been? Sorry I haven’t been in touch. I’ve had a lot to think about.”
“Hey, no worries. I hope everything’s okay.”
“Yeah. Look, sorry about the other night. I shouldn’t have…I was feeling a bit lonely. You know. Just wanted a bit of comforting.”
