“Because I’m looking forward to it,” Kevan said, smiling.
“I am, too.” Craig put his arm around Kevan’s waist. “Very much.”
Kevan chuckled, “Then you won’t stand me up.”
“You need to ask?”
“No, I don’t. I was just—”
“Teasing.”
“Bingo.” They laughed, continuing on through the park to their vehicles.
“I’ll see you on Wednesday,” Craig said when they got to his car.
“Barring the usual problem, a stakeout, or whatever,” Kevan grumbled.
“If it happens, it happens. Then it’ll be Friday night dinner followed by Sunday.”
Kevan grinned. “Which is usually how it works. Friday, Saturday, Sunday.”
“Smartass.” Craig hugged him. “Not that I mind. It’s one of your assets.”
“Along with my good looks, my innate charm, and brilliant mind.”
Craig snorted. “Let’s not get carried away.” He hugged Kevan again, and then got into his car. “Wednesday, and don’t be late.”
