“My God, this is your office?”

“Yes. How do you like it?”

“I think it’s genius, but you don’t have much privacy, do you?”

“Oh, I see what you mean. Let me explain. This is a two-way mirror. I had it done this way so I could see what goes on in the restaurant, but no one can see me. I don’t want the help, or the customers to feel like I’m keeping an eye on them. It would make them uncomfortable.”

“I see. Very smart,” Ric said.

“Yes, I thought so. This way if there is any trouble I have the telephone at my fingertips to call 911, or I can hurry down and help in any way I can.”

“Mister…?” He looked at the manager questioningly.

“Oh,” the manager said as he rushed forward and extended his hand. “I guess we didn’t introduce ourselves. “I’m Leroy Dumas. I manage the place.”
