Major would have been proud of me for remembering the characters in that show talked like that, if anything I’d just thought had been said aloud.

“Bring your kids, if you got ‘em,” AJ said. “Spouses, too.”

“Sal is single.”

“Duly noted. I also know he can carry a tune.”

“Major sings better than I do,” I said. “And he plays the piano.”

“How could he not, considering? Well, cool then. Next rehearsal for full cast is tomorrow night. How are you with choreography? We’re starting ‘Consider Yourself.’ I’ll get you the sheet music, just in case.”

AJ turned to walk away. I checked out his ass since he’d never pulled up his pants, even as the whirlwind of the whole situation I found myself in was starting to unsettle me some. Was this sexy, sweaty stranger trying to get me in bed or onstage?

“Oh, yeah.” He came back to us. I checked out the bulge in the front of those pants as well. “You wanted something?”
