He called Oran, who was probably eighty in human-aged years now. After catching up for a few minutes, Eli told Oran what he planned to do. Without hesitating, Eli invited him, and Joshua to stay with him in New York. Luckily Sully’s aunt lived on the opposite end of the same subway line as Oran so Sully and Joshua could see each other for the summer.


Eli started the car, backed out of the arena parking space, and pointed it to Interstate 4. He knew he would be in Interstate 95 shortly but he figured he could stop at Cassadaga before he got to Daytona.
