Vinnie was right. Eddie did deserve a friggin’ academy award. They both did. But all they got for their efforts were a few handshakes, and good-natured slaps on their backs, and a new assignment. What a shame. It’s no wonder the city of New York called Eddie a legend. He was all that, and so much more.


The next day, when Adam went back to work, he noticed, along with all of KingStar, that both Eddie’s and Vinnie’s desks were noticeably empty, and the incredible job they’d done only a memory.
