Seb groaned. “Where do you expect me to find any room for all that?” he groused, though that didn’t stop him from taking a large helping for his bowl. Two scoops of ice cream, too. I was glad to see he was eating. He even had some color in his cheeks.

“Is dairy okay for your ulcer?”

He chewed, then replied, “Dunno. Don’t care. I’ve felt so much better since I’ve been back here, even though it’s been only a few days. I didn’t realize how much I could miss a slower place of doing things. Everything in New York is rush, rush, rush, and while I thought I could keep up, my body wasn’t having it.”

He licked his spoon, and I swallowed. Nope, don’t go there. “So what are you going to do?” I asked, taking another slice of pie. I’d have to be rolled to bed at this point.
