As the jukebox wound down, he saw the place had filled up a bit more. He noticed a guy in a corner softly playing a harmonica and a young girl tapping away on a bongo, and he smiled. A happy glow spread through him for the first time in too long.

Jordan looked at Trevor’s table, trying to not be too obvious about it. Diva Sam was smiling adoringly at the guy wearing a Medford First Responder Fire Fighter T-shirt. Sam’s got it bad, Jordan thought to himself and chuckled. He decided to grab another drink but as started to get up, he noticed Trevor at the end of his table with a latte in his hand.

“Great job, man. This is on the house.” Trevor turned to walk away and Jordan didn’t know why, but he didn’t want that to happen.

He grabbed his arm, he blurted, “If you’re not busy, why don’t you sit a bit?” Jordan watched the blush that stole over Trevor’s face in fascination, and smiled to himself.

“Uh…Yeah, sure.” Trevor sat and Sam and company elbowed each other.
