Marc drove them in his SUV to a nice restaurant sixty minutes away to reduce the odds of being seen by co-workers. Adam wondered that Marc said he loved Autumn. Would he be able to say it someday to Adam? The ladies kept stealing glances at each other, and Adam held Marc’s hand. At the restaurant, Adam discovered Jeannette was a vegetarian, like Autumn, and they both liked the same movies and books. Autumn didn’t dress in Western wear but admired it.
After, they walked through a shopping mall and went to a gay club that catered to both genders. The women seemed to hit it off and went on their own, and both liked to dance. Neither Adam nor Marc cared for it much and spent most of the time cuddled in a corner booth. The place didn’t serve chocolate milk, and Marc settled for root beer.
Adam tried to get Marc to sample his tequila sunrise, but Marc turned his nose away from it. “Marc, you’re not your father or grandfather. You’re not an alcoholic.”
