Marc Struthers is a career nurse in the US Navy, and he hates the Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell policy. He lives with Adam, who’s also in the Navy, and they share a room and bed. Although they often make love, Adam claims he isn’t gay.<br><br>One night while on shift, an attractive female doctor tries to seduce Marc. When he rejects her advances, she reports him as being gay.<br><br>Despite Marc’s commitment to the Navy and his job, his military career is in jeopardy. The admiral who must hear Marc’s case is from an older generation. Can Marc wait for DADT to go away as so many promise, or will he be discharged?

Military Emancipation

Jeannette put her fork down. “Adam, Marc, I have a few questions to ask you.” The guys nodded. “I’m really happy dating Autumn. I really want her to move in with me, but I’m not sure how she’ll take it. What do you two think?”


Adam was first to answer. “Jeannette, that’s awesome. Autumn is awesome. She’s a good friend. If you’re asking for my blessing, you have it.”


Marc added, “Me, too. Have you talked to her about it?”


Jeannette’s voice weakened. “No. I’ve hinted, but I think I was too vague, and I don’t think she gotit.” She lowered her gaze. “I love her. It’s been long enough, I know it’s real love.” She shook her head, bouncing her ponytail around. “I know it’s not long-term love, but this is the beginning of it.”


Marc shot back, “Have you told her you love her? It would be a good idea.”


“Oh, yeah, we say it to each other. It’s easier for girls.”
