Chapter 10

“One of us needs to learn how to follow,” Ty quipped as they milled about in the middle of the water, each of them trying to turn towards their side of the boat.

After that, they strolled through the Japanese Tea Garden, holding hands and stopping for a kiss in the romantic alcoves, or sitting on one of the benches, just watching other couples pass. Afternoon tea wasn’t as formal as the Palace Hotel but was satisfying in another way.

“I feel really relaxed now,” Ty said. “Those Japanese sure do know how to unwind.”

“They work hard, too, though. We could learn a lot from the way they do things.” Evan took Ty’s hand and led him toward the children’s area. “I’ve got another way we can unwind.”

Ty burst into laughter as the carousel came into view. “I want the dragon.”
