Once they returned to Lucas’ apartment, Evan reluctantly left Ty to his own devices and headed for his own place. He tried booting up the computer to work on a new game, but his thoughts kept returning to Ty Mitchell and the man’s impending departure. Evan shut the computer off and flipped on the TV. Every rerun he found seemed to feature some hapless couple saying goodbye in one way or another. Even Star Trek had Captain Kirk leaving the alien princess behind as he sailed off on another adventure.
