While Maru was gone, Sartin ventured into the bay again. He found a school of fish near the shore. He fashioned a net from the vines and branches he could reach from his place and captured a few of them for their evening meal. He secured the fish in the pool until Maru returned. He would certainly be tired when he returned. Serenity filled Sartin’s body, having contributed substantially to the evening meal.
As the day wore on, Sartin longed for Maru to return. After the sun reached its midday zenith, Sartin watched it closely. Many times, Sartin would check then check again, but it seemed the sun hadn’t moved at all.
