Rick Mitchum is a man looking for a good time. No strings attached sex is the only thing he needs ... or so he tries to tell himself. After having his heart broken three years earlier, he never wants to go through that again. But recently a local fireman named Josh Landers has been hanging out with a group of friends on Friday nights, and something about him just rubs Rick the wrong way.<br><br>Josh is tired of watching Rick take home everyone but him. He’s ready to share his heart and bed with the man. If Rick will just open up, Josh knows he could give him everything he needs.<br><br>Then one night, Josh has had enough and lets it all out.

In His Arms

Josh held out his hand, a tender look in his eyes. Rick placed his hand in Josh’s and rose, letting the man lead him to the bedroom.


Through the dim light, Rick spotted the large bed in the corner. Josh held up the covers and Rick slid in, settling on his back while Josh joined him.


Rick began to feel awkward. He wasn’t sure he should be spending the night. With a hook up, things were easier. No-strings sex, back in his own bed the same night. He drew a deep, shaky breath and wondered how he could sneak out. Surely those things Josh had said about being more than a one-night stand was just talk. He’d probably asked him to stay only to be polite. One thing about Josh, he’d always been polite. Well, Rick wasn’t sure he could count the dirty talk. That was a surprise. And he’d really liked it. The same as he’d really liked feeling Josh inside. Maybe too much.


Josh placed a hand on Rick’s shoulder. “I’m glad you’re staying.” His deep voice fell over Rick, calming his fears.
