Theirn arrived, muttering about having to leave everything behind at the castle. Daeron gave him a brotherly pat on the shoulder and then Theirn and Castien settled down to tell the others what they had learned. Halfway through their recitation, the door slammed open and a burly warrior entered. He shoved a bound and blindfolded man in front of him
“I found this outside the mound trying to discover the way in,” the warrior said.
“Well, well.” Daeron walked over to the prisoner. “And who do we have here, one of the Lord’s spies perhaps?” He pulled the blindfold down and Theirn gasped.
“That’s him, the man who said he was going to help us get into the Lord’s residence.”
“Oh really?” Daeron scowled at him. “Would you care to explain?”
The man looked around fearfully, and his eyes landed on Castien. “I am who I said I was, the medallion proved that.”
