As I dried off, my phone signaled a new text. I grimaced—the only person who texted me at this hour on a Saturday was my boss when she wanted me to cover for someone. The last thing I wanted was to work on one of my few days off. With a sigh, I dried my hands with the towel and tapped my screen to read the message…
…and dropped the towel.
It was Liam. Good morning. I hoped you’d use my number.
Liam had texted! Not even ten minutes after I’d texted him!
I did a little happy dance. Completely naked. In my bathroom. Butt wiggling and arms flapping like I was doing the “Chicken Dance,” and a smile split my face in two. I’m sure I couldn’t have looked sillier if I’d tried.
After snagging my towel from the floor and throwing it over my shoulders, I tapped out a quick reply.
Austin: How was the sunrise hike? Any more accidents?
I added a winking emoji, and rushed through the rest of my morning routine.
Liam: Ha ha, very funny.
Austin: I notice you didn’t deny it.
