“It hasbeen a long time since I’ve dated a man.”
“So?” Drew gave me a half smile. “Why’s that a worry?”
“I don’t know?” It came out like a question, and I huffed a breath. “I want it to work. There’s something about him. It gets me in the gut. I need to see where it goes.”
“So make it work.” Drew’s statement made me squint, and he shrugged one shoulder. “You’ve got a lot to offer anyone. Don’t start thinking negatively. He agreed to come tonight, right? Meet us all? That’s the first big step. After that, it’ll be smooth sailing.”
I laughed again, pushed off the wood pile, and headed toward Jackson’s tent. Drew was right, as usual. I shouldn’t borrow trouble. Austin would either have a good time and fit in, or he wouldn’t. I’d know before the end of the night if this thing simmering between us had a chance or not.
