Jackson couldn’t see it yet, but Austin was the right man for me. And if I had anything to say about it, he’d be around for a good long time. We’d barely started dating, but I already had a hard time imagining life without him.
That thought made me grin even more. While Jackson banged around in the kitchen, I dug my phone out of my pocket and thumbed open the text conversation I had going with Austin. Though we’d texted a lot of random silly things, but underneath it all, I could feel the caring. Sighing happily, I shot him a text.
Liam: Thanks for taking care of me today.
A few minutes later, I got a response.
Austin: It’s my pleasure. Though I’d prefer it if I didn’t have you on my table again any time soon.
I chuckled.
Liam: The X-ray table, right? The kitchen table is still in play, yeah?
The blushing smiling emoji popped up.
Austin: Definitely.
I laughed. He was just so freaking cute.
Liam: Excellent.
Austin: Get some rest. We’ll see about my kitchen table soon.
