“That’s why Kellan, you, and I should stick together. Orphans against the world.”
Endymion snickered. “You’re right.”
“How about dinner later at seven?”
Endymion’s eyes widened. “Huh?”
Darwin inhaled and exhaled a few times as he scrounged up enough courage from deep within his guts. He gave Endymion and Kellan a shaky grin before speaking up.
“It will be a casual dinner. Just the…the three of us. Nothing fancy. I mean, you don’t have to if—”
“Sure,” Kellan cut Darwin off midsentence. “Friends have dinner together. Right? Or lunch. Breakfast, too.”
Darwin shook his head. “I mean, like a date.”
