Chapter 7

“Do you have any luggage?” Kit said, looking around. “I’d be glad to help you with it.”

“All I have is what I’m carryin’. I can handle it. Thanks anyway.”

“Sorry. I just thought—”

“It ain’t heavy,” Johnny said impatiently. “Now, if you don’t mind…” Just then the cowboy’s gaze stabbed deep into Johnny, giving him a sudden memory of hot kisses and roaming hands. Where the hell were these memories coming from? The memories, the feelings, the confusion of the past piling up on him surprised him so that he didn’t know what else to do but mumble, “If you’ll excuse me. I need to get settled.”
