Chapter 5

“On your second day in Hungary, along Lake Balaton, just before the sun set, you became acquainted with Lord Byron Zalavar. Igor and you had a drink with him at what we would call a bar these days. The drink tasted like honey. Something alcoholic. Lord Zalavar insisted the two of you retire in his castle, which overlooked the majestic and haunting lake; one of the most spectacular views in all of Hungary. The two of you foolishly agreed to the plan. Lord Zalavar told you he had available rooms in his castle for you and your traveling companion.
