When they reached each other, Jules couldn’t hold back and hugged Felix, his body relaxing as Felix rested his head against Jules’s chest and sighed.

“Felix? Why don’t you stay with me tonight?”

Felix looked up, a smile curving his lips. “Sounds good. But my house is closer. And this time you don’t have to stay on the sofa.” He winked.

“I’m in.” The dream of sleeping next to Felix had been almost too much to hope for, but as he’d watched the man run this entire operation, giving it his all, Jules had known it would happen. They belonged together. “But I need to go to the landing site first, then grab Belle and her food.”

“How about I go get her? I can take her out, get her food and chew toys, and meet you back at my place?”

“You’d do that?” Jules smiled.

“Of course!”

As people began to trickle out, they joined the line. Jules reached for Felix’s hand, not caring who saw, and grinned when Felix slid his hand into his and squeezed.
