“I love you, Sam,” he whispered and kissed his cheek, wiping away the tears. He laughed. “We’re a mess,” he said as he wiped away tears pouring down his own cheeks.
“I love you, too,” Sam said, pulling him tight.
“Let’s just put away the test until I’m ready to read the results. Nothing in that envelope will change us.”
Sam kissed his temple.
Graham’s heart raced. “I should have told you I was getting tested, and I don’t regret going through with it, but I’m sorry for not talking about it with you.”
“It’s okay. It is.” Sam rose from the sofa. “Okay, I’ll go take a quick shower. I called the facility and they said your dad is having a good day and he’s ready.”
Graham grinned. “Wonderful. It’s so nice of your uncle to go with us again. My dad really likes him.”
Something crashed in the kitchen and an orange ball of fur dashed past them.
“Tiger!” Graham hollered, afraid to look in the kitchen. “Admit it, you were the one making messes and blaming my dad!”
