Chapter 10

Alex

Two minutes into the movie, he was surprised to learn the basic premise. “You neglected to mention that the zombies in this movie are bears.”

He wasn’t sure what he thought about the concept, though if nothing else, it met the criteria of being something he absolutely didn’t need to fear would happen in real life.

“I promised you cheese and I delivered,” said Tom. “It doesn’t get much cheesier than zombie grizzly bears. Except maybe zombie vampire bats, but I haven’t seen a movie about them.”

“I’m not sure that would make a compelling movie. Wouldn’t they be liable to devour themselves first and leave humans alone?”

“If you want to be all sensible about it, but where’s the fun in that?”

He had a valid point, so Alex leaned against the plush armrest and settled in to enjoy the mindless entertainment.

Halfway through, Tom paused to get some popcorn. “Want some?”

“Sure, thanks.”
