Anthony had just placed the final dish on the dining table when he heard the knocking on the door. He rushed toward the door and answered it. Then he dragged Vincent inside and proceeded to kiss his boyfriend until they were both rather breathless when they eventually broke apart.

“Welcome home, babe.”

“Thanks, stud. Damn! The whole apartment smells awesome. Did you cook everything?”

Anthony chuckled. “Not everything, but most of them. Come on. Let’s eat.”

“You won’t have to tell me twice.”

When they stood next to the dining table, Anthony proudly gestured at the various dishes on the table. There were eight courses altogether, which was a symbol of good luck. They didn’t include the white rice, the drinks, and the fresh fruits for dessert. Anthony pointed to one plate after another.
