Chapter 11

“You do look good on the cover,” he said, admiring Luca as he stared back at him from the printed page. “Here. Take them. I got them for you.”

Luca shook his head. “No, thanks.”

Duncan retracted the copy he was holding. “You’re not even a little bit excited?”

Luca shook his head.

“A tiny bit?”

Luca shook his head again.

“Then I’ll keep these for myself. Or until you change your mind.”

“I won’t. Besides, my mother’s bought a whole stack of them. She’s sending copies to family all over the place. I told her she’s wasting her money.”

Duncan wrapped his arms around Luca and kissed him. “She’s proud of her son. Just like I am.”

Luca returned the kiss, then broke the embrace. “I’d better get those cars cleaned and polished.”
