I create most of my collages on the second table: Boy Swimming, Travis Showering #3, Uneven Evening, Velvet Summer, Man-Lust #4, and Notorious Post-Humus.


I made the third table into a framing station and covered it in second-hand frames of walnut, cherry, oak, balsa, birch, hickory. I arranged my tools and supplies on the table—hand saws, pin hammers, screws, tacks, nails, and wire—and used them to build frames perfect for my collages. I warehoused stacks of paper in another area of the barn and arranged different types of wood I’d use for making frames in a third spot.
