A whole new world opened for me about Tal Linear when he walked me up to his apartment and I entered the place he had called home. His apartment was a studio with three windows that overlooked Lockmar Street, a bathroom to the far right and a kitchen area to the far left. A sofa that converted into a bed sat in the middle of the room with a flat-screen and gaming station.

“What kind of games do you like to play?”

“Bioshock Infinite, all the Halo games, and Dragon’s Crown.”

“I’m not familiar with any of those. Maybe you can show me how to play them someday.”

“Love to,” he said, and snagged us bottles of water from his refrigerator.
