Chapter 2

“I still think window’s the way to go. I don’t care that PJ says it’s cursed.”

“It’s up to you now,” said Colin. “It doesn’t count anyway. You want to go through the window, I’ll go through the window with you.”

Edward rolled and made a face. Colin watched the expression; the emotion behind it wasn’t pleasant, but Edward’s frustration was good to look at. He wished they were sitting on the couch together, but there was no way he could get up and move now. Not without it being weird.

“Oh come on, this isn’t going to be fun. It’s just the two of us, we’re going to run into whatever we want,” said Edward.

“We’ll take turns. Tell me what you rolled and I’ll tell you what happens.”

“Sixteen to break the window,” said Edward.

“Congrats, we’re out of this room. Let’s just leave the others.”
