“Oh, hi.” Felix tried to move around him.


“Hi.” The guy pushed his hand toward Felix, and he shook it. “I’m Eli. I need to go grab a few things, some of your wirings is shot.”


“Good. I’ve shut off the electricity in the kitchen, but I don’t trust it. Got me a jolt, and it shouldn’t be possible.”


“You’re an electrician?” He had to be, right? But maybe he’d shut off the wrong…switch


“Yes.” The guy grinned, and he might not be Kirk, but he was handsome. Felix smiled back.


After having grabbed a yucky breakfast from the drive-through Felix sank down by his desk in the office. He sensed Hannah watching him but pretended not to. There would be a million questions, and he didn’t have any answers.


“Felix?” She got up from her desk as his cell began vibrating in his pocket.
