Chapter 33

Beau shrugged. “Great. I’ll make sure specifically to sneeze on you.”

“That’s my roommate, classy to the last,” Josh said. “Have fun.”

“Fun, he says,” Beau drawled, letting Vin drag him out of the room and down the hall.

“Of course it’ll be fun. We’ll totally ambush Ann-Marie and Shan,” Vin said. “It’ll be awesome.”

Beau glanced at the clock in the hall. “Ann-Marie usually has an eight A.M. class,” Beau said. “I’m fairly sure they’re going to ambush us.”

In the end, the ambush was epic.

The doorknob rattled, then Vin stuck his head in Beau’s dorm room. “Oh, good, you are here.”

Beau barely looked up from his textbook. “Don’t you ever knock?” He highlighted a section and jotted some notes in the margin. Vin flung himself dramatically into a rolling desk chair and spun it nearly across the room.

“Do you ever not let me in?”

“I’ve been considering it.” Beau checked the formula in the back of the book. “I’m studying, in case that wasn’t obvious.”
