Vin jerked slightly at the noise, grumbled something, and pulled his legs back up into the chair. Beau blushed, looked around for his clothing, didn’t see his jeans from the previous evening, and blushed harder. His kidneys informed him they weren’t going to wait much longer, and he needed to stop worrying about modesty before they exploded, thank you very much, sir.


“Right,” Beau said. He slitted his eyes against the sun. It really was sunny in California. Brilliant light pierced the sheer curtains. It was worse in the bathroom where there were more mirrors than was truly necessary, and privacy was apparently not a concern with the land and trees surrounding the house. The window was large and completely open. Beau grimaced and pulled the drapes closed. There was no way, none, that he could urinate if someone was watching him. Or even if he thought someone might be watching him. And standing with his back to an open window while peeing? He shuddered.
