“Shhhh. No, no.” Beau pulled his lover down against his side. “I’m sorry. It’s not that you’re not enough, it’s that you’re too much.”


“Oh, go ahead. Move in. We’ll see if you still say that after a month.”


“Jerk.” Beau covered Vin’s mouth with his, a tentative kiss, apology and amends in one. “All right, all right. You win.”


“Great.” Vin ran a lingering hand down Beau’s arm, across his belly. “Guess what?”


Beau eyed the number of spaces and shook the dice in his hand.


“Look at it this way,” Shan said, patting him on the arm condescendingly, “you’ll pass Go and so when I take your money, it won’t be that bad, right?”


“My girlfriend, the slum lord,” Ann-Marie crowed. She’d been out of the game for over an hour and was now just sitting behind Shannon, cheering and hooting every time the now-white-and-red haired girl raked in another bucket of cash.
