Chapter 20

A petite woman, who wore red-colored horn-rimmed glasses, immediately greeted Adam at the ninth floor. He followed her past a waiting room, and sat in the hallway, on one of chairs they had between two open offices. Once seated, he surveyed his surroundings. He counted three large offices down in the end he was located, and around him were numerous cubicles of young Filipinos, both men and women, some with headsets on the phone, and some milling around talking to each other. At the far end, he saw a glass conference room and several men gathered around an easel. He stood and walked to get a better measure of the place. One office was dark and appeared to be locked. It had a nameplate for the occupant. J.J. Arias.Immediately across from it was a large corner office and it had the nameplate, Jojo Arias.Next to Jojo’s office was Roger’s. Smaller, neat and tidy with a window that looked down on the street.
