They buckled their seatbelts after the pilot announced that they were leaving shortly. Plastic champagne glasses were handed out as Roger passed the Dom Perignon to Jizelle, who passed the bottle to another, each person pouring some of the bubbly in turn. “I’m good. You have it.”
“At the risk of being judged, I’ve never had Dom.” Adam sipped the champagne and smiled in appreciation. “That’s actually good.”
“We have another bottle up front if you want some more.”
“Maybe later,” Adam said.
Sheila took a few selfies with Pete. The plane started to back up and then proceeded on to the runway.
“She’s not on social media, is she?” Jojo asked.
“Who? Sheila?”
