He drove us to the Surfsand Resort which was just minutes away from the sand and water, as well as a monolith which I later found out was called Haystack Rock. It rose two hundred and thirty-five feet into the air and was part of a protected marine garden.

Hollis got us checked in speedily so we could have a chance to go down to the beach and just stretch our legs. “I reserved a week here, figuring that would be more than enough time to explore and just relax a bit.” He grabbed my hand as we walked along, linking our fingers. “As an added bonus, I have you here with me.” He smiled at me. “Ready to fuck me yet?”

I laughed before kissing his cheek. “Later. We have tidal pools to peruse, according to the handout we got from the front desk.”

He gave me a fake pout, but immediately brightened as we hit the beach and stepped onto the sand. “It’s a little chilly out, but it feels good, right?”
