He anticipated the gesture and closed his mouth, curled his lips, and looked around.

“Are you deciding if you like the place?” Thomas asked, moving away a lock of hair from Elias’s face.

“No, I’m trying to find the courage to say yes,” Elias answered, looking finally at Thomas.

“It’s not that difficult. It’s a short word.”

“Yes is not an easy thing to say for me. Every time I have said yes, I have found myself in trouble. But I’d like this yesto bring something good to my life.”

“It will bring you me. Do you think that could be good enough?”

“Yes.”
